Gloria Marín joined Uría Menendez in 1997. She is a partner in the tax department of the firm since 2015.
With a Ph.D. in Law, Gloria combines her practice with research and teaching tax law. Her research and publications have received numerous academic accolades over the years, such as the leading tax law award “Premio Estudios Financieros” in 2005, 2006, and 2012, and the “Best Ph.D. Thesis in Law Award” from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in 2012.
Gloria specialises in tax litigation. Her experience and main lines of research include tax avoidance and tax planning, the tax treatment of compensation payments, pension contributions, family businesses, high net-worth individuals and artwork.

Teaching activity
Gloria has been a lecturer on tax law at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas – ICADE since 2009, and has also lectured on several post-graduate programmes at the Centro de Estudios Universitarios and the Instituto de Empresa.
She frequently speaks at courses, seminars and conferences on tax law.
